The Star Gate Motel has a rich history in the Indian River area. Generations of outdoorsman and vacationers have stayed, as they enjoy "up north." It is our mission to build on this tradition and bring to the area an immersive farm experience.

Founded in 2025, Lochmoor Farms is a regenerative farm in Indian River, Michigan. Inspired by Joel Salatin’s sustainable farming principles, four friends united by a passion for healthy food and stewardship of God’s creation established Lochmoor Farms.

Rooted in tradition, Lochmoor Farms aims to grow into a place of education, community, a great food!
